Recording / Strings & Classical
Strings and classical
ensembles
String recording in Norway — from violin solo and string quartet to full string orchestra. We work with professional string players and run regular shared sessions to make real strings more accessible.
01 — What we record
Classical quality,
all the way
Solo and chamber
From violin solo to string quartet and wind ensembles. We choose microphones, placement and rooms based on the lineup and repertoire.
String orchestra
The main studio comfortably seats up to around 12 string players live. For larger sessions we work with overdubs or external locations.
Classical vocalists and choirs
Solo vocalists, small choirs and ensembles with baroque or contemporary classical repertoire. We work dry or with natural reverb depending on preference.
Scores and arrangements
Have the music but no score? See Music — we prepare full scores and individual parts.
02 — Shared sessions
Real strings at a fraction of the cost
Real strings are expensive — we know. That's why Mobula Music runs regular shared string sessions, where several artists and composers split the cost of a single recording day with professional string players. A unique offering in Norway — and a way in for anyone who otherwise wouldn't have the budget for string arrangements on their track.
01
Register interest
Send us your score or a sketch — if you don't have a score, we can write the string arrangement for you.
02
We collect songs
Once enough songs are confirmed, we set a date and book the musicians.
03
Recording day
We record the songs one after another. You get the stems and finished recordings.
Shared sessions are a way to get real strings on a budget that fits both amateur and professional artists. Get in touch to be notified about the next session.
Welcome
Built for real strings
Real strings belong in serious projects. We lower the threshold without lowering the quality.
- You're a composer with a project that calls for real strings.
- You're an artist who wants live string arrangements on your track.
- You lead a chamber ensemble recording repertoire.
- You have a song that needs real strings — without breaking the bank.
- You work in film, advertising or theatre and need a classical sound.
